ZUG, Switzerland – OMNIA Global today announced a strategic partnership with Nuvve Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: NVVE) to jointly develop and deploy a battery energy storage system (BESS) pipeline exceeding 1 GW across Europe over the next 24 months, supported by dedicated project financing.
“We see Nuvve as a uniquely fitting partner to efficiently project manage and execute the roll-out of our pipeline utilizing its advanced load balancing software and deep experience in BESS from the early days of the market. The European market presents significant arbitrage opportunities for fast movers, and with Nuvve we have a partner capable of scaling alongside us with one of the most experienced teams in the sector.”
– Daniel Hansen, CEO, OMNIA Global
The first project under this partnership is a 50 MW / 75 MWh CE-approved BESS located in Sweden, marking the initial deployment within OMNIA Global’s broader European energy storage platform.
BESS plays a critical role in modern electricity grids by balancing supply and demand, integrating renewable energy, and enhancing grid stability. BESS technology enables the storage of excess energy generated during periods of low demand and its rapid deployment during peak usage, improving reliability while reducing dependence on fossil fuel-based generation.
Establishing a Scalable European Platform
The OMNIA Global–Nuvve partnership is structured to convert OMNIA Global’s existing development pipeline into operational, revenue-generating assets at scale. The collaboration combines OMNIA Global’s strength in project origination, structuring, and financing with Nuvve’s capabilities in grid integration, software optimization, and asset management.
The pipeline – exceeding 1 GW – spans multiple European markets and is designed to capitalize on strong fundamentals in ancillary services and wholesale energy trading.
Sweden: First Deployment in a High-Value Market
The initial Swedish project represents a strategic entry into one of Europe’s most attractive energy storage markets. Sweden’s advanced electricity market, high renewable penetration, and increasing electrification across transport and industry continue to drive demand for flexible storage solutions.
The project is expected to commence operations in Q2 2026, forming the foundation of a broader Nordic and pan-European rollout.
Commercial Structure and Revenue Opportunity
Under the partnership:
- Nuvve will serve as asset manager and market access provider, delivering full optimization of grid participation and revenue streams
- OMNIA Global retains a central role in development, structuring, and pipeline expansion
- Nuvve has secured exclusive rights to support and deploy BESS projects originating from OMNIA Global’s pipeline
- Nuvve also holds a Right of First Refusal (ROFR) to acquire ownership stakes in future projects
Current market conditions across targeted regions support estimated revenues of €240,000–€300,000 per MW per year, positioning the Swedish project – and broader European pipeline – to generate strong, recurring cash flows once operational.
Building a Multi-Market Growth Platform
The Swedish project is the first step in establishing a multi-country BESS platform spanning Europe’s highest-performing energy markets. The partnership is designed to scale rapidly, leveraging:
- Proven project structures
- Long-term contracts and financing frameworks
- Advanced software-driven energy optimization
- Repeatable deployment models across jurisdictions
This approach enables accelerated time-to-market and efficient capital deployment across the pipeline.
Leadership Perspective
“This partnership enables us to rapidly convert a substantial pipeline into operating assets with strong underlying economics. Sweden is just the starting point – we are building a platform designed for scale, repeatability, and long-term value creation across Europe’s most attractive energy storage markets.”
– Daniel Hansen, CEO, OMNIA Global
