ZUG, Switzerland — OMNIA Global today announced the activation of a 40 MW / 80 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Austria, developed under its strategic cooperation agreement with Nuvve Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: NVVE), a global leader in grid modernization and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.
“The cooperation framework that we established with Nuvve was designed to convert pipeline into recurring economics at an accelerated speed. Energiepark Graphit is the second asset we have activated under that framework in a matter of weeks, and it will not be the last. This is a partnership built on aligned incentives and tangible delivery, not just intentions.”
– Daniel Hansen, CEO, OMNIA Global
The project – developed through the Austrian SPV Energiepark Graphit GmbH – represents OMNIA Global’s continued execution on its European energy infrastructure pipeline and builds on the companies’ previously announced Swedish BESS project. It also marks a key milestone in scaling a multi-country platform for grid-interactive energy assets.
Strategic Collaboration with Nuvve
Under the cooperation agreement, OMNIA Global leads project origination, structuring, and delivery, while Nuvve provides development consulting and will act as grid aggregation operator. Nuvve will earn a 9% aggregation fee on revenues generated by the Austrian project and retains a right of first refusal (ROFR) to acquire the completed asset at an independently assessed valuation.
This structure enables OMNIA Global to efficiently monetize development while maintaining flexibility for long-term asset ownership or strategic exits.
Scaling a European BESS Platform
The Austrian project is the second asset activated under the OMNIA Global–Nuvve cooperation framework, following the Swedish BESS project. Together with Nuvve’s first contracted Danish project (2 MW), the collaboration establishes an operational footprint across three European markets.
The Austrian asset alone is projected to generate approximately $10.8 million in annual revenues, with additional contributions from the Swedish project under the same commercial framework. Across the portfolio, the platform represents a rapidly expanding revenue base supported by high-margin ancillary services markets.
About the Energiepark Graphit Project
The Energiepark Graphit project is a fully contracted, development-stage 40 MW / 80 MWh LFP BESS located in Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee, Upper Austria, co-located at an established industrial site.
Key project attributes include:
- EPC Contract: Fixed-price turnkey construction contract signed at €13.52 million (€168.49/kWh) with a Vienna-based BESS engineering firm
- Site Rights: 18-year cooperation agreement securing land access, behind-the-meter grid connection via a 110 kV substation, and full site access rights
- Revenue Optimization: Participation across Austrian FCR, aFRR, mFRR ancillary service markets and wholesale energy trading
- Regulatory Framework: Structured under the Austrian Elektrizitätswirtschaftsgesetz (ElWG, December 2025), granting a 20-year grid fee exemption for standalone BESS assets
- Projected EBITDA Margin: Exceeding 80% based on optimized participation in ancillary service markets
“When you look at the Austrian and Swedish assets together, alongside our broader European pipeline, you can see a scalable platform emerging that is capable of delivering strong recurring revenues with rapid deployment timelines.”
– Daniel Hansen, CEO, OMNIA Global
